On Saturday, September 15th the team will complete its 5th Annual Breakfast Run. Saturday morning team members will complete their longest run of the season as part of our morning practice. Team members will start according to their assigned groups (Will be posted Thursday) and finish at Coach Zeglin’s house at 915 Navajo St in Carol Stream. We will hold to the assigned departure times. Please make sure that your daughter arrives 10 to 15 minutes prior to the assigned departure time.
The route is almost entirely on the Prairie Path and Great Western Trail. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Beaudins for volunteering to monitor the crossing of County Farm Road along the Great Western Trail. (Just south of St. Charles Road). The final destination of the run, will be Coach Zeglin’s house – 915 Navajo St in Carol Stream.
Departure times are segmented in order to allow all athletes to arrive at Coach Zeglin’s house between 8:20 and 8:30. After arriving athletes will complete their rope stretches before replenishing their energy stores with pancakes, sausage, fruit, and lots of water.
Breakfast and clean up are scheduled to finish around 9:30. At which point, all runners will load into cars driven by parents and dropped back off at Wheaton North before 9:45. Coach Zeglin will send a Parent Remind 101 Text as a secondary reminder as we depart back to school.
Thank you to all of the parents who volunteered to make food for our morning breakfast. Please drop off food at Wheaton North with your daughter. A parent will be on site to collect all food items before delivering to Coach Zeglin’s house for set up. Please make sure that the food item is dropped off at Wheaton North prior to 7:10am.
